When I was a little girl, my father often traveled for work. One night, after a long journey home, he brought a small gift for each of his three children.

Mine was a tiny necklace.

It had a delicate pink flower pendant with a simple red cord. It was not expensive or extravagant, but to me, it was the most precious treasure in the world. I carefully kept it in my drawer, protecting it like a secret treasure.

More than 30 years have passed, but I still remember the happiness I felt when I first held that necklace in my hands.
